We are attempting to get as many entrants as possible to raise as much money for Goresbrook CC. The winner taking 40% of the prize pot, 2nd place 20%, 3rd place 10% and Goresbrook CC taking 30%.
The Cause – Goresbrook Cricket Club are a Sport England Clubmark community club based in Dagenham, East London. Formed in 1981, we have an outstanding record in providing cricket for youngsters in a borough consistently ranked as one of the poorest in the capital.
We have invested heavily in our facilities in recent years and all funds raised from this competition will go towards the running of the club, as we aim to provide top class facilities & maximum opportunities to play and develop, whilst keeping the cost affordable for the local community.
Rules
Simply predict the scores of matches and questions. If you predict the correct outcome of a match you will receive one point, if you get the correct outcome and scoreline you will receive three points.
For example, if you think Germany will beat Scotland 5-0 and it finishes Germany 5-0 Scotland, then you will get three points but if its Germany 6-0 Scotland you will receive one point.
Knockout games will be added to a new page when the competition reaches that stage so do not forget to log back in and predict those and the additional questions.
There are also a number of questions to predict the answers to and they carry a different number of points depending on the question as well as a tie break question that will only be used in the event of a tie for money winning finishes.
All questions have to be answered prior to the start of the tournament whereas match results can be predicted up to two hours before kick off.
When the competition reaches the group stages, remember to log back in and predict the scores for these games and to answer the additional questions that will become available as the tournament progresses.
Make sure you click save under each section of games and questions to submit your predictions and make sure you do this on the predictions and questions pages. Failure to do this may mean your predictions are not saved.
The standings table will be updated as soon as possible after games have been completed.

NOTE – The entrance fee is £5 if you choose the offline/cash payment option.
If you use PayPal (we would prefer this so it saves chasing for cash) it is £5.50 as we need to cover the 9% charge by PayPal.
PayPal payments are sent to Jordan Harris who is managing this competition on behalf of the club. Cash payments will also need to be made to Jordan. All payment need to be made before the competition starts.
The prize pot is the total money received for entrants minus 30% (fundraising for the cricket club). If we hit 100 entrees the prize breakdown will be as follows:
(100 x £5 (received entry fee from PayPal) = £500
1st place – £200
2nd place – £100
3rd place – £50
Goresbrook CC – £150
Prizes will be paid by direct bank transfer in the week following the conclusion of the competition.
Personal Information
This website will collect basic information such as username and email address and by entering the competition you are allowing Goresbrook Cricket Club to hold this information for the duration of the Euro Championships 2024 and 60 days thereafter. By entering the competition you are also consenting to receiving email updates for the competition that may include other cricket club information that is deemed appropriate until your personal data is removed from our systems.
